Garry M. Spotts’ latest children’s book, “Shine Nandi, Shine!” is specially crafted for children ages 1 – 11.  It tells the story of Nandi, an optimistic young girl, and the power of negative words upon the aspirations and dreams of a child. 
 
It also illustrates how the understanding of a wise and loving parent can nurture, rekindle, and restore the brilliance of a child.
 
Shine Nandi, Shine can be read to a child and help ignite a passion for stories and reading in our children.  All the characters look like us, in a story written for us and by us. Let’s raise a new generation of Black and Brown Children who read and love stories. Truth and history have and will always be transmitted from one generation to another.
